The research area of forest economics, policy, and management is a key strength of the Department. Faculty in this area have been trained in economics, geography, political science, and forestry, and together provide the capacity to address issues of institutional design for the conservation and sustainable management of forest and related resources in BC, Canada, and globally. Faculty play a key role in both the B.S.F. undergraduate program, especially in the 4th year, and the Natural Resources Conservation Program.
